Brigitte Handley and Joanna Gemma Auguri will be joining forces for a series of unplugged shows in the depths of the European winter… having first met in a German castle the two artists conjured the idea of a collaboration tour which will be finally realised in December of this year with a string of shows in Germany with hope to embark upon other lands into the new year…

Listening to Joanna Gemma Auguri's music is like opening a door to a sacred space. She invites you into a private space where a broken heart is allowed to beat to its own rhythm. Her live concerts are reminiscent of a ritual and are a profound dialogue with the audience. With her unusual instruments and unique voice, Auguri has created her own niche in the wall. The accordion is a drone instrument, like a breathing time machine, the zither spinning otherworldly sounds and carrying the siren-like vocals. An intense mix of dark folk, melancholic cinematic pop and avant-garde - fragile, haunting and full of power.
